My mum’s family are all from Wuxi (2 hours drive from Zhoushan!) so I kinda know the shanghai region, Its lovely there and the food is amazing! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it!

You can get a one year sub for around $50 USD and it will make a big difference to your quality of life in China – particularly as you’re going to be in a remoter location without many expats around you to rely on for friendship, entertainment etc.

I’d be lost without my VPN and I live in the middle of a Tier 1 city.
