But while I/we wait, need a new series to watch on a weekly basis. Hopefully something new-er, maybe currently airing. But long as we control ourselves we should be able to keep to one ep a week… maybe something mystery or horror based… or… like… psychological. I’m not sure. Long as it’s good. Want something as awesome as SAO. Can be cutesy or whatever really. Considering Gundam Unicorn. But that’s like an hour each.

TV… y u must irk me so…

So I’ve found myself raging at TV and anime this week. Either due to stupid things happening in them, or things I do not approve of, or both. Or more. So here. Do with this as you will…. Rage and spoilers within… I try to keep specifics out of it, apart from with No.6 where I had to… sorry XD

Like… seriously… why…

So I finished No.6 finally. Kinda disappointed with the ending if I’m honest. Not what I was hoping for… and went a bit psychedelic if I’m honest… giant bee goddesses and stuff…. and then the whole… ‘we just achieved our goals, one of us was brought back from the dead, but we’re still gonna part ways and probably never seen each other for a long time’. I was like ‘WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK’ at this. I mean. He was literally crying over Shion’s corpse, and then not long after he’d been revived, quick kiss, and then he slides down a friggin cliff. I MEAN WHAT. Shouldn’t they like, ya know, be together? Happily? I mean I know he was an angsty fucker and all, but JEEEEEEEEESUS. I mean really. So yeah. Disappointed in that. Overall I enjoyed it, but still…the ending…. could have been done better, in my opinion…

It made me actually tell my laptop off… loudly… well not my laptop… it’s Fringe that deserves the talking to…

Like Fringe. Ep 4. Seriously. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WERE THEY THINKING. I mean DEAR GOD. I was so shocked there were no tears. I mean something like that, I would have expected tears. But no. It was so sudden, so abrupt, no tears. No feels. Well. Feels of mild rage. But yeah. WHAT. THE. HELL. I still can’t get over that. And then the latest episode, ep 5…. Peter just made a hugely moronic decision. I mean I know he’s grieving, and probably a little unhinged… but doing what he did is just asking for trouble… like majorly asking for trouble.. *sigh*

Dear god… I just… and with Community not back until February… I don’t even… IDE….

Seems like my favourite shows are intent on making stupid decisions… though I think right now… just Fringe… and maybe Castle nearly….. but that was all trolling by them…. mostly…

Finally a show that doesn’t make me want to rip my laptop’s face off. Ya know. If it had a face.

And then there’s ‘Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun‘. Which I watched the first 5 episodes of yesterday/day before yesterday. I quite like it. It’s quirky, cute, kinda reminds me of Lovely Complex a little, also reminds me of aspects of my own life, but I seem to do that a lot lol. See things in anime/shows that remind me of my own life… either I’m looking for it on purpose of my life resembles manga/anime too much lol.
But yush. It’s a nice show. Pretty. I like the op/ed themes. And unless something goes horribly wrong, I can see it having a happy ending. Of course then there’s the manga as well… but I won’t be looking into that for a while lol. Spoilers and all.

And watched ep 4 and 5 of K too. With the bloody shirt reveal at the end of ep 4. That was all ‘ooooooooooooo’ of course. Either it’s a frame up or he really did it. Or has a twin. Or it’s like Jekyll and Hyde. Or just a normal split personality thing. lol. Normal. But yeah, not looking good for him at the moment. And still a very odd series… seems quite mixed up in it’s genre… but I think it’s meant to be like that, with 7 different writers/collaborators and all.

Hmmmm is that it for anime/tv….. Oh. Manga. I read one of the manga from the writer of ‘Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun‘,  only googled to see if she’d done anything I knew of. But nothing sprang out. One called ‘Ikemen Paradise’ reminded me of Hana Kimi… since the Jdrama’s subtitle/alt title was Ikemen Paradise, but this manga was entirely different. The one I ended up reading was a selection of 6 short stories called ‘Rabu Kare‘. Which, I’ll be honest, I only clicked on cos it said ‘smut’ in the genre XD. So yeah. Rabu Kare. It can be read on Evilflowers online reader, here.

And this was written while I was still(am still) a little intoxicated(if you couldn’t tell, with the extra, ‘so yeah’s, and ‘but’s lol)  from the night earlier on. Was out with a fellow girl doing actual girly things for once lol.

So I finally got to play Remember 11(last year now actually lol). Years after Ever 17. And Never7 is downloading right now. SO HAPPY. I didn’t realise there was a translation for Never7!! eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. And today I saw 12Riven in the bookshop in Dinghai. In Chinese…. which is annoying… but…… if there was a patch, would that work? XD Not that my CD drive works anyway… XD

So Remember 11. For those of you who have no idea what I’m on about(and can’t be bothered to click the link lol), it’s a Visual Novel. It’s part of a series, it’s a thriller/scifi/psycho kinda game. I went into it all excited and like ‘eeeeeeeeeeeeee EVER 17 YAYAYAYAY’, and I was happy that you got to play as a girl, for part of it lol. It’s a nice change,(which is funny cos I also have Starry Sky Spring to play too DDD YAYS!!)

I’m not sure how much I wanna reveal about the story… in case you actually want to play it.. so I’ll try to like, avoid major plot points and story. So there will be some spoilers. Nothing too major I suppose now I think about it, but still. Spoilers for a game like this would be annoying to me lol. So you have been warned!!

So theres a plane crash. At the beginning, which you see in the intro, above, and this girl is reading about a serial killer case. You sort of bond with one of the characters on the plane before the crash too, which becomes important later on.

And after the crash, you wake up in a room, you don’t know where you are, and well, turns out… you’re not you. You’re someone else. You look in a mirror, and you freak out, naturally. I mean if you saw someone else in the mirror where you should be… you’d freak out. Surely. And after that, you end up switching back to your own body, which is in a cabin. Apart from that. Everything seems normal. I’d say more… but… ya know… spoilers… plus it’s been about a year since I played it…

You start out playing the question arc, as Kokoro(‘s mind), then after you’ve finished that, you can access the answer arc, where you play as Satoru, and get the reverse of what you had with Kokoro, because you’re switching bodies, you miss what happens when you’re in his body of course, and vice versa.

The gameplay is the same as Ever 17, and most VN’s, lots of reading and some choices which decide how the story will go. It can end well, it can end not so well. I know I ended up dying at least twice before the actual end of the game… thank god for so many save files(unlike Never 7 which has like 5!!! How do I backup with that little space T-T means I’ll have to actually play it through without saving before every choice like normal XD).

The story is set in two different places, every time you switch bodies, you’re transferred to the other place, and as it turns out, other time. Oh yeah, this game isn’t as simple as a body swap. It’s a swap in time and space. There is only one character that appears in both places, which should tip you off rather quickly, but with games like this, who really knows. I mean Ever 17. That had two different play through’s, with varying degree’s of-wait. No. I won’t spoil that too. Not right now. You should play the whole series. Which is apparently 5 games now, 2 more added to the series since the company switch. So I’m like ‘YAY’ and ‘DAMN’, cos I’ve only just got the original 3 with English patches finally XD

So you can literally freeze to death if you make the wrong decision at one point…

Or you can get stabbed. And drowned if I remember correctly…

So the same thing happened with Remember 11 as it did with Ever 17. Once I started playing, it was reeeaaaaally hard to stop. I just played it nonstop until I was done. And VN’s can be loooooooong XD Let me just check my time… ok. For some reason the latest save file I’ve got is on 9 hours… even though I’ve played it through… I’ll be annoyed if my saves were wiped for any reason… grrr…. It was definitely over 20 hours. Plus the extra play time to re-do things to get different endings. And then the Satoru arc… which, I’ll be honest, I can’t remember if I finished XD. I just remember the confusion of the ending XD And I found out that I still have all the CG’s unlocked from the question arc, so… it’s recorded my playtime. And when I loaded a file up, it says the total play time is about 20 hours… so… where are my other files… granted, 60 spaces… all but one has a save file in XD (I’m very save happy XD)

Near the end of the question arc… when things start to get really freaky-deaky.

I love these games though. I haven’t found a VN or eroge I like better. I just wanna play alllllll the games. Date Warp was damn good though. And an otome game. I want more otome games… but more often than not, regular VN’s where you play as the boy are more fun XD Which… yeah… says things about me probably lol. Though the fact usually the girl character designs are cuter… same for Harvest Moon. I will usually pick to play as a boy, if they gave the girl better marriage options I’d be all over that, buuuuuuut they haven’t in the ones I’ve played where you have the option. So I’ve chosen to stick with playing as ‘Kyle’ lol.

Ok. Sidetracked. Remember 11. It’s awesome. Play it. I wish I bought Ever 17 when I had the chance… before it sold out on Jbox/list… and Remember 11.. you can’t get in English, same for Never 7, and 12Riven, and then Code_18, which seems less like the other 4 games, but the completist/obsessive in me must play them ALL!!

And I’ve already started playing Never 7 D Got the OST ogg’s too, VN’s without music……would be…odd to me XD. Just gotta get Starry Sky Spring installed now, but that means another locale change, and clearing some HD space… Which I will do! Cos it’s worth it!!

I always love when I stumble upon new shows. And yesterday when on ANN I saw the review page for No.6. Not sure what exactly about the synopsis grabbed me, I think it was the fact that the whole walled districts separated out into social groups/standings, reminded me of ‘The Wind Singers’ premise. A series of books I read years ago and looooooooved(and will now find online somehow…).

I’m on episode 4 already, just finished 3. It seems to be one of those shoes I MUST SEE ALL OF AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! *gnashes teeth*. I am loving it. I love dystopian futures. I love futuristic settings. I love when they have to leave their perfect world and get thrown into the dystopian part. (Some spoilers for eps 1-3, tread with caution :3)

I must say I’m loving the similarities between No.6 and ‘The Wind Singer’. I mean originally I thought it was just going to be the walled city and seperated social groups. But there’s even a big whistley thing at the center of the city… when I finally clocked it I was like o_________o ‘Come on. That’s just…’ I’d love to find out if the creator/writer of this series has read ‘The Wind Singer’ and ‘The Wind on Fire’ series. I bet if that had come out around now, it would be stupidly popular, but as it is… it was too early for it’s time. I know fandom’s would eat it up. It needs to have a comeback… somehow…

So. No.6. Sion or Shion is the main character. The boy who had it all. A brilliant life ahead of him. Great education set up on the ‘Special Track’ with his childhood friend, Safu. Living in the rich part of No.6. He wanted for nothing. But then Mouse/Rat/Nezumi entered his life. Appeared at his window during the typhoon on his birthday and tried to strangle him. As a fujitive on the run would do. But as it turns out, Shion reacts ok to the appearance of a small boy bleeding from a gunshot wound quite well.
And like any 12 year old boy would do, he tends to Rat’s wound and brings him cake. And then gets everything taken away from him. Stripped of any qualifications and awards he had, forced to move to the poor part of town. I felt kinda bad for his mother…

All the names for govermenty things in this show, like ‘Bureau of Peace’, scream oppression to me lol. Like the entire population is being sedated and controlled lol. I mean you go to work, and you have to pledge your allegiance to the city before you clock in XD. So yeah. Bit of a Big Brother thing going on.

And theres quite a big 4 year jump, without any warning, unless I totally missed the sub saying ’4 years later’ lol. But at the beginning of ep 2, we see Shion, working as a park ranger essentially. And they come across a body, which looks old, but turns out not to be. Then we’re in a cafe with him and his friend, and they’re 16 now. And then it flashes back, explaining why, and we see him working in the park, controlling cute animal trash robots called ‘Walkers’, remind me of Saatchi from.. damn… I’ve forgot… it’ll come to me… later XD. And his friend, Safu, as she’s going abroad to one of the other big city things, No.5, she has a request. And she speaks in a very ‘Bones’esque scientific, no beating around the bush. So she’s basically like ‘YOUR SPERMS! GIZ THEM ME.’ Not in caps obviously. But yeah. She wants his sperm. Or just sex. I think for more like an experiment lol, but she does like him, just in a weird scientific way sorta. Or that’s how she words it at least. And then she treats him like a child after he’s all like ‘but you’re my friend….’. So yeah.

And the next day… Shion mentions how the government might be covering stuff up, as it wasn’t in the news, and literally seconds later his co-worker, dies, of apparently the same thing the guy they found yesterday did. And a bee/wasp(depending on the subgroup XD) flies out of his neck. Which seems to have been… gestating inside him… and then killed him as it reached buggy adulthood… obviously Shion’s a bit freaked out by this. And the official govermenty guys come along, and take him away, accusing him of stuff.
Luckily, Rat comes to the rescue, with his mouse assault team XD They hijack the car, and then have to bail when it’s taken by remote control lol.
And then the running begins. To the outside. Beyond the wall. And that’s pretty much the end of ep 3. Them escaping together. BUUUUUUT we see a little patch on the back of Shion’s neck, like the kind his co-worker and the other dead guy had…..
DUN DUN DUN!!!!!!

So yes. (I start ‘so’ too much XD). No.6. Loving it. Am sensing of blossoming ‘bromance’ between Shion and Rat. But given the fact ‘Shonen-ai’ is actually listed on ANN, I’m not exactly shocked lol.

Go watch it. Or give it a shot at least. Specially if you’re a fan of ‘The Wind Singer’ (the few of us that are left and watch anime too lol). You might get a kick out of it, I did/am.

Oh. The opening and ending. I didn’t like the opening at first. But it’s grown on me quite a bit in 3/4 eps lol. Ending I like less, but it’s still good.

Now I need to try Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun and maybe Magi. And wait for ep 4 of K. :3

I love how in anime you can see them through clothes, but if they’re wearing less, BAM. Gone.

I was happy with the white haired Isana Yashiro being chased about by the androgynous bishie with long hair called Yatogami Kuroh, or Black Dog, along with the naked girl/cat who most people can’t see. Neko is friggin adorable. But very naked lol. But has the advantage of being that kind of naked where there’s no detail in certain parts. So it’s…. safer for work? XD Though even girls with their eyes out missing their pupils… isn’t exactly suitable for work is it… *cough*

Trailer for the series. I just remember seeing it plugged somewhere, maybe ANN. And I read the Dannychoo post about K too. Neko is the most popular in polls. For an obvious reason. Ok. Well technically two reasons . Don’t deny it.

So all this king stuff. Factions. Red and blue. The gangs. The Shiro lookalike. The psychic stuff. The talking trashbins. It’s a bit like… ‘ok then’ XD

The thing that actually got me to watch was a gifset on tumblr. Of Shiro blushing after Black Dog catches him in ep 1. Which I thought was cute.

And the Seri chick. I like her hair.

It seems interesting enough though. And a bit weird. Which is enough to keep me watching, for now anyways. I watched 3 eps in a row at any rate.

So I decided to give this a try after seeing a really cute figure of one of the characters, Sena.

Seems to be about a group of unsocial students. Who get more social together. In a school club. In a church. Righto…

The main character, Kodaka, is like, half English, hence the blonde hair. It’s a nice colour, but makes everyone afraid, that plus the ‘piercing’ eyes. Which I just think are nice XD

The animation so far is really nice, the character designs too, all prettiful :3 And from what I read it’s a harem anime, which I’m totally fine with. I like a good harem anime once in a while, stupid fun. Same with normal TV. This, so far, doesn’t seem to be *too* stupid. But I’m only one ep in.

This figure is the one that made me watch it. Sooooo cute.

lol they’re using religion to open a club to make fake(?) friends… is what I’m taking from her explanation… ok… seems legit…. their club is in a church…. lol
And why does he always have his trousers like that…

Enter Sena. Of course Yozora knew her before… bet you she did… lol. She seems desperate to join. And that voice… I know it… hmmm… if I do, it’s only from Shugo Chara, Amu’s seiyuu. Not really watched more than 1/2 eps of Queens Blade lol. Or Squid Girl.

And just reading up on voice actors… Yozora is Marina Inoue. Yoko of Gurren Lagann! And Kodaka(who I’m tempted to just call Kodak lol) is Akira from Eden of the East.

This is what I am expecting of the series. 100% this lol.

So. I went through the reviews on ANN. And for some reason… the series about sisters trying to bone their brothers… always stick out…. the last one I watched he was adopted at least(which she didn’t know at first, so it just kinda spurred her on, Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne—!! is the name), but this one… this one they’re actually blood related… which is ickier. Yet I still sat through ep 1. And will sit through at least one more ep I think…

God knows why. I spose I like the stupid series, and this comes under that heading in my opinion. Of stupid series. It’s a harem of course, but not nearly as pretty as Naganai. So I doubt I’ll keep up with this one, unless my brain really is that sordid now…

But yeah. It’s literally, twins who’ve not seen each other in 6 years and now they’re going to the same school, living together, and she’s got a maaaaajor brother complex. She’d have to be messed in the head if it was real life. BUT! Anime. It’s just…. semi-normal lol. And it’s just fiction, like all that Supernatural fic with Sam and Dean getting it on. So…. yeah. It doesn’t phase me like it maybe should lol.

So. SAO. Of the anime I’ve seen over the past few months (Another, Tsuritama, Accel World, few others) this is probably the one that grabbed me fastest. I mean I loved MMO’s before, and this just made me re-love them. And want to play MOAR. (So I/we went looking at picked Eden Eternal lol)

And I knoooooooow loads of people are watching. Even one of my students (who also watched & read Accel World) was watching and reading it(light novel origin like Accel World, which I later found out was written by the same dude XD)

Anyways. Yes. SAO. GAWD I want an MMO like that. Minus the being trapped and the possible death of course. But GAWD I would love such an immersive one. With much hacking and slashing. (Below the cut, smut, spoilers and stuff)

And among all the awesome leveling and mad op’ing that Kirito and Asuna do. After finding out he was only 14 starting the game… and after having read this… (because naturally if I read something has been taken out for reasons of this kind, I’m gonna go looking lol. It’s like if there was smut cut out of Haruhi novels XD) I can’t help being a little o____o at him and Asuna. Cos in this time frame… he woulda been 14 still, and she 16… so… even in game……like…. o____o I shouldn’t be focusing on that though. I should be focusing on the fact they were a lovely couple and had a lovely relationship with a lovely fake daughter and a lovely digital house.

Which then got ripped away from them as they were essentially chucked out the game before the 100th level boss. I was kinda like ‘oh…’ when they decided to beat the final boss 25 levels early… I mean they coulda time-jumped again like before… but no… and the reveal of the big-bad… I was kinda sad it was so… easy… even my friend guessed… and I just hoped it wasn’t…

And now the new arc. WHICH. Like… I dunno, 5-10 mins into, I’d called the brother-complex/onii-chan loving. And I am looking forward to the new MMO. But wouldn’t they have scrapped this technology if it can be hijacked like that? The headgear thing I mean. I spose we gotta wait until the next ep to see if they actually still use the headgear though. And little sis will totally be helping out, as per the new opening. And the super creepy guy who’s trying to marry Asuna… eww… he was like.. as soon as his glasses shon when he walked in. You knew. You just knew. Only in a comedy do shining glasses don’t mean evil. And even then sometimes they still mean evil…

Debating which of the new new series to watch. I already tried OniAi(just cos…. the name… I knew it’d be another bro complex series… yet I watched anyways………. not sure what that says about me. And I tried the Shinsekai Yori series too. Could be interesting. I made a list to try. Like Busou Shinki. Gotta try that. Though it’ll make me miss my Shinki’s T-T.

Because of the way these boys promoted before their debut, I got quite attached. Seeing manhwa on AKP don’t happen often lol. So it caught my eye to say the least. This was too cute to be true. A band promoting using a comic??!! I don’t follow new groups generally, but B1A4 made me change my mind. And when the teaser for their song ‘OK’ came out. I was even more taken. By that point I’d already picked a favourite from the promo stuff, Shinwoo, or CNU. Jinyoung was almost first choice, when when I found out there was a member called Shinwoo, I knew he’d be my first choice lol. Weird to pick based on a name, but it was a good choice XD.

Such happy peppy music XD I listened to it on repeat for sooooo long, and the album came out, listened that over and over too. Hell, I even bought it. Me buying music is RARE. (Becoming less rare thanks to Kpop, all the freebies/special editions… too tempting lol)

After the MV, CNU was even more my favourite. Great voice. And Baro… overtook Jinyoung.

Why couldn’t all this stuff have been around when I was the right age for it lol? I hated boybands when I was little lol. Despised Boyzone and Westlife. I was all ‘Spice Girls ftw’ back then XD. None of them are super young at least, unlike Teen Top *shudder* jailbaity is the word that springs to mind XD

Their third music video, for the first promoted song on their second mini album, which came out last month. Also awesome. They’ve done really well for a rookie group too, high sales, big oversea’s following already, FlightB1A4 is 21st in the Kpop forum ranks for most members. And their fancafe has loads of members too, I’m a member too, but reading Korean… not my strong suit lol.

But yeah… Had to flail a bit… Will every now and then. Block B might be next… or BEAST… or 4Minute or HyunA. I dunno. Oh, for the boys who don’t give a crap about Kpop(if you got this far lol), you’ll give a crap about this video lol.
