Ok, I liked it. Alot. Lets face it, I was never gonna not like it, its got the great Steven Moffat as head writer now. Not a bad switch up at all. Cos I LOVE his work. And Matt Smith I grew accustomed to by rewatching Ruby in the Smoke & Tiger in the Well. And any YT vids I could find, not much Moses Jones sadly, would like to have seen more of that before new Who began. He is good. Very good. He’s got the required sparkle to be the Doctor. Karen Gillan seems lovely. The series loses one Scot and gains 2 the replace him lol, even if one is the writer lol. I *think* the murse will be in it more… but you can’t tell if it’ll be Geoff(?) or Rory so far…
First ep was a bit ‘Girl in the Fireplace’ but I can understand why Moffat might have wanted to elaborate on that story a bit, was a nice idea even if the 1st ep had the Doctor totally abandoning Rose(with no way back that he knew of) for some random wench he barely knew. Never forgiven Moffat for that…
EDIT: Forgot to say, like the interior of the TARDIS better now I’ve seen it on film, the promo photos I saw last week made it look awfully cheap lol. But it looks all goood now. Good on Confidential too
BUT all in all, very good. Can’t wait for next week I want to watch ep one again… odds are I will… tonight… while DSing.

Because I have a darling TARDIS model, makes the noise & everything, way better than the money bank version, and I have many figures, toys, plastic things, I thought I’d have a play. In honor of the beginning of season 5 of Doctor Who, with Matt Smith as the new Doctor(THE DOCTOR, thats his name, NOT ‘Dr Who’ really pisses me off when even folks in the media can’t get it right *sigh*…) and Karen Gillan as the new companion AND most importantly to me, Steven Moffat as the new head writer!! :WOOOOP:. Lost one Scot, gained 2 others, not all bad, but I wish the Doc was Scottish lol. One day… And if you don’t know what Doctor Who is, FOR SHAME! And proceed here forthwith.

Yesterday, January 1st, I witnessed what will probably be one of, if not the most, traumatic TV events EVER. (Won’t be bested unless Eric Kripke decided to kill off Sam+Dean when SPN finishes, whenever that will be.) It literally made me so sad, everytime I even think about the episode, or the last 20 minutes at least, I will tear up, and I will have to distract myself from it somehow. It’s actually painful to think about… yes its just a TV show, BUT its the end of an era, and its the end of one Doctors life basically…. it feels like someones died, we loved him that much, and I know people will agree. I know boys who cried at this, who don’t even like Dr Who that much lol.
I warn ye all, spoilers lie ahead, so those good little Americans+Australians+so forth who haven’t downloaded it and watched already, don’t read ahead if you want to remain innocent to the details of Tennant’s final two episodes. Though I’m really focussing on one lol, the 2nd, as the 1st was a pretty big let down, if I’m completely honest and don’t try to lie to myself, Tennant + Cribbins + Simm were all brilliant ofc, but it was just so over the top… over done… overblown… whatever the words… it was too big…. Anyways… *ahem* yes… don’t go below the cut if you wanna wait to watch the episodes yourself. SPOILERS DESU!!!!!!!!

GAWD picking these were HARD. Bloody awful. Even only counting live action tv series, so discounting Futurama n stuff from the mix, didn’t help much. From a list I got down to 12. Picking just 5 was evil… EVIL. I should do one for american, one for british stuff really. This list isn’t though, its a mix of all. In no order. Can’t pick a favourite, love em all for different reasons. (I had to leave out Friends!! And Grey’s Anatomy! And Scrubs! And so many awesome shows….

This list says… well I’m not sure… its a random mix of… well… scifi, slice of life/fantasy, backwards rom com, mystery/scifi/fantasy/mind-fuck and mancandy-fanservice/horror lol. You can read what you like from it. Its far to eccletic to make any sense out of lol. The full list might be easier to understand. All I know is that I love them. Again, for different reasons. Dr Who is like… a combo of childhood nostalgia combined with my favourite actor being in it for 3/4 years lol. Early Edition, nostalgia again, was a tv show I always remembered, always recalled, but didn’t remember the name and retain that information till early this year I believe. HIMYM is fluffy and lovely and cheeky and funny and LEGENDARY. Lost is just… well its Lost. Like marmite, you love it or you hate it, I’m of the former state of mind. Totally in love with the series, so much so I can barely see past its faults lol. And Supernatural. Only in the last year have I become a fan of this show, and boy do you become a fan. Total fangirl for it. TOTAL fangirl. Someone was right when saying some shows have viewers, some have fans, supernatural has the latter.

Ok.. I couldn’t do just 5… it was friggin’ impossible!! I couldn’t leave one off without feeling bad…. Though there are 11 I can think of, properly favourite, so one was kicked. Who? I won’t say, cos I still feel bad…

Now, the only one I put in order is Tennant, cos he is my all time favourite, and that will NEVER change. Unless a taller awesome scottish guy comes along. Who’s a more accessable age lol. The rest are in no particular order.
Loved it. I did. My expectations weren’t particularly high… But I loved it. Sooooo much. I mean… it hit so many g-spots(Geek-spots!!! LOL)!! Timelords… Firefly/Serenity, Star Trek and Star Wars…and more. So getting it when its out on DVD. The last brit-comedy I saw was a BIG disappointment.(Lesbian Vampire Killers… was a brilliant idea, but ruined by those irritating, supposed funny men Horne and Corden… It was gonna have Conner(Andrew Lee Potts) from Primeval in it… that would have been brilliant… cos he’s lovely. Horne and Corden are slimey…) I’d forgotten how good time travel movies are. Spotting all the crossover points, its just awesome! Chris O’Dowd ROCKED as always. And Shakespeare(from one ep of Dr Who), Dean Lennox Kelly,(more famous for Shameless). The other guy, the inventer of the Ninja Yodeller, I hadn’t really heard of. (Huh…apparantly he was Shirley Ghostman in that Shirley Ghostman show… can’t saw I watched lol.) Not only them, but Anna Faris was in it. Queen of the Scary Movie movies.
Kinda reminded me of a scifi(sorry… Science Fiction lol) version of say… Coupling? Yeah… Coupling… seems about right… (Holy smidt… didn’t realise the director had directed 42 episode of 2 Pints of Larger and a Packet of Crisps… that might be why it felt familiar…)And the remake of ‘Final Countdown’, well that was just pure win. I kinda hope they’ll be a sequal… but it’s probably better left as just one movie. As they said in the movie, hardly any sequals work. Apart from say…Terminator 2, Toy Story 2… (hopefully Iron Man 2 lol) I could probably list more if I thought about it lol. EDIT: As Louki pointed out… Alien 2 or Aliens! Much more fun than the first one.
So, I say, get out and see FAQ About Time Travel NOW before it leaves cinema’s. The last showing at my local is tomorrow. Which sucks… because its only been only for like a week or so… since the 24th. Not even a week… god… its probably cos of all the new movies… Hannah Freakin’ Montana… Wolverine I won’t argue with cos of LIEEEEV’s presence. (Holy crap he’s only 41…. I thought he was older…. older than Jeffrey Dean Morgan at least… but he’s younger!! YUM!) Anyways… yus… rambled a bit… Well it deserved a longer run… I’m sure its running longer in other cinema’s, and it’ll be in the arty one across the road from me soon I bet…. might see it again to see what I missed the first time around lol.

I….love-love-LOVED FAQ About Time Travel!! It reignited my belief in British Comedy movies. Lesbian Vampire Killers was…well…disappointing… I wished they kept Andrew Lee Potts in it instead of Horne n Corden… nvm. This was a million times better by far!!
