On the road again! + New Goodies!

On the way to norwich today there was epicly dangerous and downright stupid driving. Some idiot was tailgating some other idiot who pulled out in front of us just minutes before, and kept flashing him for ages untill he was able to pass him. After which is spent 10 minutes driving right in front of the car that wouldn’t give into his flashing and tailgating… complete tosspots… this is a prime example of why I don’t care for driving lol. Can’t be arsed to learn yet…… Anyways…. nuff ranting about driving. Onto today’s goodies!!

Suprise Loot Aqquired!!

I went to one of my local game/figure places today, expecting just Busou Shinki’s, like my brother told me. And I was totally gobsmacked when I found a gold mine of figures!!! And a good few rare ones too!! I never even knew they made a Shion/Mion figure before today… and pretty much all these figures, Bome’s, Kotobukiya’s etc, were all £10($20) or under!!!! I was sad they didnt have all the Busou Shinki’s my bro said were there, I wanted the angel too, aswell as the devil type. But the other figures more than made up for it!! I only spent £36($72) aswell…. wish I could have spent more… but I was controlling myself, so I only bought Serio from To Heart, and left Akari….:sniff: But I got Himekuri girl finally!! (The white one, would have gotten either.) Only £8($16) for her!! The Busou Shinki Devil Strarf was just £8, and the Mion/Shion(with two backs of hair.) was only £10 too!!! GAH I felt so lucky….

There was also several Bome figures, the Kiddy Grade Twin pack, Full Metal Panic(twin set?) And there were 4 different kinds of Gundam figures, 3 girls and one guy, Meer Cambell was one of them. (Not familiar with the Gundam universe…. Might have been 00…) So much awesome stuff… there were three To Heart figures actually… Serio’s sister(?) was there too. There were some mecha revoltech and gunpla too. But no Gelgoog, so no deal…

(I’m sorry, but I had to rant, it was like the expo!! So many goodies!!!)
(The local figure and game place in question, which usually does not sell this kinda stuff, just final fantasy, star wars, dr who, wrestling, other cult stuff, is called Toyz and Gamez. They have an amazon.co.uk marketplace shop tool.)

(I know… I posted this as a news item… but I wrote so much in my rant I’m reusing it. Waste not – want not lol.) I will take pics of new goodies once the camera is charged. (I have to go fetch the charger first…:sigh: So lazy…)

Buying Uni Art supplies – Aguuuu….

Was in Norwich today. Finally got all the pads and extra bits and bobs I need for my Animation Design class. 

Two A3 Sketch pads, one normal ringbound and one layout pad(like tracing paper only less see-through, I had to ask where it was lol). I got one ringbound and 3 bogstandard sketch pads, for backup. I got 2 A5 sketchbooks, one with a white cover so you can design it yourself. I got 8″ by 5″ cards for what I assume with be storyboards. They coulda just told us they were A5 lol, much easier to find. I got 2 more of my favourite pens; the Uniball Eye Micro. Dries mucho fast, love them. And you can see when they’ve almost run out cause of a window in the side of the pen! I also needed blue pencils…. I got two different blues to be safe. I got some extra sketching pencils too, 2B/4B etc. I had to get a stopwatch too, timing for animation and whatnot I’m guessing. Also got a new Stadtler rubber, my old one which I carry everywere is severely depleted compared to the new one…. I didn’t realise how small it had gotten… Also got some whitetack, for posters and stuff in my room, a mini stapler, and a 2gb USB memory stick. Me and a friend have decided to send USB sticks back and forth to give each other the latest stuff we’ve downloaded. We’re only an hour and a half away from each other anyways as it is.

I think thats it…. I paid for £30 worth of the stuff bought. But I offered too… :sigh: Like a good girl…. because my parents are already forking out god-knows how much for uni as it is. And I still have plenty in my account to take care of my preorders. So all is well. And on a side note, Denno Coil is still as awesome as ever!! I’m up to episode 19, it’s amazing I’ve stuck to my rules and am only watching one episode a day, before I go to bed…. remarkable how good my self control is for once! Getting pretty weird though…

Trip to Norwich – Elephant invasion?

Since I was being dragged into Norwich, I thought I may aswell take the oppurtunity to get photos of the elephants which have invaded. http://www.goelephants.co.uk/ Details can be found there. I only got 16 photos, and there are 53!!! But they’re quite spread out, I’d have to go back to locate them all. This is my favourite elephant.

Thats a Frescato from one of the 3 Costa's in Norwich.

Frescato’s are the closest thing to a Smoothie I will drink(I hate the consistancy of Smoothies…), Frescato’s are more like Slushpuppies, only healthier. This was summer berries, probly the second nicest, cos they sell vanilla flavour too!

It has the nicest ‘ambience’, although theres one more thats pretty darn nice. Chaplfield itself is pretty bogstandard. ‘The Mall’ is nicer. And they have a Burger King. Chaplefield dont. So they lose. I had lunch at Burger King, my usual Bacon Double Cheese meal. Before my friend will told me about BDCB’s, I didnt realise a place actually did a burger with no nasty extras(like pickles, onion etc)!

Mcdonalds burgers just pale in comparison. And I work there lol. I normally have McNuggets anyways. Less fuss than asking for a burger plain only cheese. After lunch I went round the city, finding more elephants as I went. I did my usual searching for DVD’s and cheap games. Didnt find anything that wowed me.

The new look HMV

They recently changed the look of HMV, I dont like it. It looks cheap. I hope they didnt pay alot of money to get a designer to do it for them. The only cool thing is the big games podium. The other big dvd/game/cd shop in Norwich is Zavvi(used to be be Virgin, and I prefered it as Virgin, but usually its higher priced than HMV anyways, so I only go there when HMV doesn’t have what I want. Like Today. They didnt have Harold and Kumar get the Munchies, and Zavvi did. And it was only £3($6) which was nice. I cant wait to the Harold and Kumar escape Guantanamo which was released this year.

The game shops had big Wall-E cardboard models. And they speak when you walk close past them…

I also paid a visit to my local Pocky emporium. A stall on the big market in Norwich called Orient Express which sells Pocky, chocolate, strawberry, chocobanana and milk flavours. They started selling Collon and those chocolate koala things too. They’re yummy!
