Busou Shinki Studio

Got round to playing with the BS Studio a couple of days ago. Didn’t do too much, as it was late, just took a while to download the updates is all…

I’ve been buried in Uni work atm, lots to do. Like 7 hours of drawings from still life. And a flip book. And an essay we can’t actually write yet because we don’t know nearly enough about this ‘Limey’ movie.

This is just a tester I made very quickly in Photoshop. First time I’ve used photoshop in years literally… Haven’t used it since I was like 13-14ish at school. And that was only a trial version. I’ve used programs like photoshop for years though. So I’m competant with it so far.

Shinki Display

This is how the set up on the new computer side looks. I got my Shinki’s posed cutely all over the set up!!! So sweet!!! I love how Arnval is sitting on my screen. (I white-tacked her butt to it hehe)

Today I kinda bought some DVD’s after my interview(which seemed to go well, I offered more cake options lol). I got Corpse Bride(£4), I Robot 2 disc set(£4(, Kill Bill vol 1, Jumanji/Monster House/Small Soldiers(£6) in a 3 disc set and Anastasia(£3). And yesterday when I handed in my CV I bought Oban vol 2 for £10.99. Now I have the complete series though. I love the design of Oban. It’s so stylised.(They have no noses! lol) Like a mmo that I’ve momentarily forgotten the name of….

Busou Shinki – Up close and Personal

I have grown more and more attached to my Busou Shinki’s ever since I got them… more so even than my Figma Haruhi I think… which is strange… it might be because I’m not as scared to play with the Shinki’s, because they cost alot less than the Figma’s, and would be much cheaper to replace if broken. Figma’s just seem more delicate…. They’re definately better quality, but it might have to do with the fact I was so enticed by the Angelic Layer story when I first read it, like 5 years go…(wow…long ago….weird…) And stuff like Sky Girls and the slightly more recent Strike Witches might have been an influence too. I’m not really big on the mecha stuff… but I do love the character designs!!

(I don’t know why I didnt take any close ups of Devil Strarfs box… and I can’t now, it’s at home lol)

As some of you may already know, I’m at uni now, and I’ve been out and about a bit. Not getting drunk….cause thats a big waste-o-money and resourses that I could waste on other things, like figures!! lol.

Just thought I’d post a little something from my Busou Shinki’s to keep you coming back for more. I’ve taken more pics and some of my uni room, before and after shots etc, but I can’t find the little thing I put the memory card in to transfer them… so I’ll find that later…

And btw, if you hadn’t realised, and I’m sure many of you have, there is an episode 13 of Strike Witches by the look of it. Since several sites have it listed with 13 episodes I think it’s fairly safe to say theres a 13th episode. So keeps your eyes out this week!! You wouldn’t wanna miss it now would you??
