I’m 19 and I still woke up early on my birthday… I only got like 5 hours sleep (3:30 till bout 8, didnt get out of bed till 9 though…) :sob:. Today I got my grubby mits of various things. Two of which are very wonderful things.
There you can see a Sony Cybershot camera, with 10.1mp, 5x optical zoom, wide angle lens among other things. Gilmore Girls season 3, Miss Wyoming, a Douglas Coupland novel, a 4gb memory card, and a white box… Whats in the box you wonder? Read on to find out…
A framed postcard signed by, the one, the only, David Tennant!! I was like… omg… and it says ‘To Emily’….I did actually almost cry… I bleared up… Apparantly my mother wrote to him and asked for a signiture for my Birthday. They kept it incredibly quiet over the past few months thats for sure… But its an amazing gift. I will truly treasure it forever and ever!!
Other presents I got from relatives in the afternoon were the complete Ally McBeal boxset :WOOOOOOOOOO: and some Barcardi Breezers, more chocolate and some money. In total I got £74, That covers Makoto…. and the £60 from Grandparents for pocket money covers Ayu. I’ll have *some* left over and more for xmas no doubt. But Makoto and Ayu are the priorities.
The grand opening of my new camera!
I’ve been getting used to the settings and stuff today. I found a useful setting which changes the colouring, which helps ALOT in my room, cos photos always come out very orangey if I’ve got the main light on.
I’m glad its optical zoom and not digital. I know thats better, but I’m not completely sure why… And the photos are HD quality… I didn’t need HD, but I’m glad I have it. And 10.1mp = YAY! I’m soooo glad to have a new camera. I have taken pics with the new one, but I haven’t been able to transfer them yet, my card reader is actually too old… too slow to transfer the big photos… like 3mb in size or more…
My cousins came round in the afternoon, had fun with them. Grandma from my dads side also came over to drop off presents and stuff. Much cake was had by all, too much cake…. and I’ve gotta go out for a meal in half an hour… Arrrggg… Anyways, Christmas in almost one day!! And tomorrow theres John Cusack movie on, The Ice Harvest, its on late, but it’s Christmas Eve, I’ll be up anyways lol.

@M132: Can’t go wrong with the Doctor! I’ve only seen partial previews for Season 5, but did Tennant leave the show?
Haha, such a coincidence! I was planning in the next few days to get myself the same style SONY Cybershot with an early gift card~ but a black W120 (7.2 MP) instead, lol. Just a notch lower, but cheaper; still 4.5 of 5 star ratings, hehe. >_<

@M132: Aww, of the Ten Doctors I’ve watched, Tennant is by far one of my faves, if not #1. Hehe, yeah, those Pompadour fireplace robots weren’t particularly impressive, lol.
But as for stranding Rose, do u mean stranded at the end of S2? Or at the end of S4 with the duplicate Doctor? In either case, *stranding* her is for me, one of the most brilliant moves ever (as well as making the Doctor the *last* of the dead Timelord race). Whether he was in-or-out of character, or whether the predicament was impossible, but to witness another *unwinnable* situation for the Doctor. In the end, never before did we see any of the ten Doctors express such depression, darkness and regret (definitely regret) throughout a series over parting with such a close friend (usually just lasted one episode), and I’ve seen virtually all of the surviving episodes since William Hartnell in the black-and-white 1960s, hehe. It added even more depth and drama to such a profoundly colorful character. Sorry to disagree with your Dad, lol, but RTD took a chance and he was brilliant. Because of it, even now, I can still feel there’s a unbreakable bond between the Doctor and Rose that wouldn’t otherwise have existed, don’t you? ^_^
P.S. I think I’ll be getting my Sony Cybershot today, hehe. Work ends early at noon!

@M132: LOL, ohhh, I see. I thought u meant in general, not specifically that episode. I’d have to see it again, but I’m sure we could come up with some excuse. Umm, one of his light-hearted absent-minded “they’ll be okay” moments? LOL.
Ahh, those are some awesome episodes. But I don’t separate them (or remember them) by specific writer, lol. The Harkness as “Face of Bo” episodes take on so much more meaning when we find out his identity. Any Dalek episode, lol. Or the episodes with the new Master. Don’t know who wrote those, but there’s so many good ones… Need we mention “Torchwood” too?
P.S. Finally got my Cyberman~ umm, I mean, Cybershot, haha. No black, only silver W120s available. But no worries. The gift card helped. And color doesn’t matter so much as the tech inside. Besides, silver matches my iMac anyway, lol. >_<

@M132: P.S. Unfortunately, I’m still waiting for my 4GB memory stick and 2nd generic-brand battery to ship from Amazon, lol.
