Ouran High School Host Club DVD ~ Part 1 eps 1-13~

Ever since I saw Ouran, I vowed I would buy the DVD when it became available to me. Today, I completed half of that vow, since its only the first half of the series lol.

Though amazon shows a differen front cover for the UK release, this is the one we got, same as the US release.

 

It’s an extremely enjoyable and rewatchable series. I’m already on the 3rd episode and I don’t know how I got there… I was only gonna watch one before something else was on…. Its hilarious, and it’s filled with the rare form of boy-moe, or ‘male-moe’, which a lacking factor in alot of anime I watch lol. I didn’t think my favourite would be Tamaki, the King(or Daddy), but it is. It’s probably because of his innocence(& idiocy? lol) and infactuation with Haruhi, he’s just so funny lol. Also I feel so sorry for him when the HikaruxHaruhi  situation comes about. Honey-sempai is cute too, in the same way Momiji of Furuba was. (Same seiyuu lol) And the twins make me laugh the most, or at least the reactions of the girls to the twins lol. All the squealing is hilarious.

But its not just the comedy that makes Ouran great. The music is also top notch. The soundtrack album is awesome. And at the end of EVERY episode, and I mean EVERY episode, I will get near to tearing up and a shiver goes up my spine, just because of the music before the ending theme comes on. I don’t know why…. just happens. Both the op and ed are brilliant though. And music does evoke emotions, ne?

Ouran is just so crazy its awesome. And anything with a girl otaku(Renge) is awesome lol. It’s fun, its bright, its clever and its got heart. How could you not love it? Although I’m glad its not got a fan-following like Haruhi or Naruto has, because that kinda fangasming can get a tad annoying… About 50% of the cosplay at the London Expo amounts to Naruto… freakin’ Narutards…. Least there was an eroge stall last time…. *sigh* I’m gonna get me To Heart 2 Another days this time…it better be there…. even if its still £60…or £70, I’m gonna get it…. that will be my next aim. Hopefully they’ll have some dakimakura covers too. I got a wallscroll at the Birmingham expo, so thats done… but one can never have too many wallscrolls lol.

All those who’ve already seen Ouran will have seen the ‘big finish’. And if you haven’t, get your butts down to somewhere you can buy it, or download it for the meantime. Buy ya’ll gotta buy it eventually since its available to buy. Thats how I work. With the series I love like Ouran, Haruhi, Tsukihime(I will be wanting the Kara no Kyoukai movies if they ever get released over here…) Strike Witches when available, Higurashi, Clannad(Might look into the series sets now actually… I know they’re out in the US and I know where I can get them…), Kanon, Air etc. I will buy them. No matter how long it takes, I will end up buying them, giving back to the folks who are responsible for the series. I know we all pretty much dl god knows how much anime, and yes, alot of us do buy other merchendise, but I believe, eventually, if you love the series, you’ll fork out for the DVD’s.
