Yesterday, I went to the London Expo. Han style. I thought it’d be easier to get around the stalls n stuff. Carrying lotsa bags of loot never helps with that though… Not as bad as last time. Only 3 bags to carry back. Biggest thing was the gunpla box lol. Twice the size if not bigger than the 1/144th scale boxes… Onto some piccies.
I took a few pics of my journey. Cos I was feeling camera-happy lol.
One of the nicer buses I’ve been on if I’m honest. British transports not famed for being brilliant after all.

Had to switch to train at Bedford. I was lucky, cos the bus was early, so I could get an earlier train. Very empty. Loved it.
One of my favourite things has to be empty public places. Tis why 3am in the morning is often really nice. So quiet outside. But empty cinema’s, empty buses, empty trains, all brilliant.

Really nice aread around Canary Wharf. Really tall shiney buildings and this little green oasis-of-sorts.
Getting from St Pancras International to Canary Wharf was a faff… I just couldn’t find the underground from St Pancras… so walked across to more familiar ground, Kings Cross. I knew where I was going from there lol.

The shadey area outside the entrance to the excel center. Where some cosplayers gathered. Lots more on the grassy hilly areas close by too.
Trails of expo-goers, still arriving even though it was after 11(when it opened properly). I would have tried for 10, but the public transport just wasn’t working in my favour today. Earliest bus/train combo was at 8:05. Just not early enough… But I got there, even if I was later than I wanted to be lol.
Not that I didn’t spend a fair while looking at the figures lol. The one stall I really-really wanted to be there was the hentai stall from last october…. cos I wanted to finally buy To Heart 2 Another Days… sadly, wasn’t gonna happen. So I went to my back up plan. Key goodies. Any Clannad or Kanon stuff I could find. Sadly… not much of that either… which meant I could do what I always put off doing, and buy another gunpla. Ofc had to be one of the available Gelgoogs. They had the red/black one, a blue one and a green one. Red/black was my choice, the MS-14B/C Gelgoog canon. Not the one I really want, but any Gelgoog is good Gelgoog. And a 1/100th scale this time. Will take alot longer to build I can tell lol.

As always, the DDR machines were there. Lots of game stuff. The DDR area was crowded with folks waiting for the SSBB tourney.
I wish I had a PSP… cos there was a really sweet area for PSP users, all beanbags and stuff. Looked awesome. Quite a few beanbags all over the convention hall. Only place I sat down for a bit was here though.
I do love the artwork for Dofus and Wakfu. Reminds me of Oban, which I also love. I got a little plushie from their stall, of the Bow Meow pet from the Dofus game. And a free tshirt! :woop: Since its a large I’ll be using it for pajama’s. Like my Neo Magazine Terratag tshirt from the first expo I attended. And my Vote Petrelli one lol.
I know said I was gonna take lots of pics of cosplay and stuff… but the warm weather… and the faff with the transport meant I ended up not feeling like asking complete strangers for a picture. Sad… but didn’t feel like it. Gomen. I did meet 3 fellow DCers though. MSZ006ZETA , Pixeh, and PorcelainePriss. The latter of which was working at the United Publications stall. She recognised Chuns Tare-Danny tshirt design. She has a huge collection of figures.

My loot. 3 bags. Decent sized bags. As you might be able to tell from the length of the wallscroll lol.
3 bags. Excluding the dakimakura behind them, she’s just there most of the time cos theres nowhere else to put her lol.
This expo’s loot in all its glory. All in all, was a good collection of goodies. Hit all the bases for my obsessions, To Heart, Clannad, Star Trek, Gelgoogs, and then some other stuff. So glad I have Yami. Been wanting a Yami for ages. Even if she is a diddy one.
A figure I’ve toyed with purchasing for a while. Her retail price on HS is 6460 yen. Near 49 euros, which cos of the stupid economic climate is about the same in the UK… Probly like £45 or something. I got her for £30. Mucho saving!! And she’s super lovely… 1/7th scale. Bit bigger than most of my To Heart girls, but still super lovely.
Me getting a dangly thing for phones is pretty redundant since my phone doesn’t have anywhere to hang them off… I have so many of them… and nowhere on my phone to put them… Got some on my DS though. And bags… zips… etc…
Gonna continue building tonight if the internet doesn’t keep distracting me…
I didn’t know the mag was set out in different sections. From completely dressed girls, to bikini’s, to nearly naked girls, then smiley girls. Lots of prettiness.
Tis a Tribble! From what should be a well known episode, ‘The Trouble with Tribbles’. I remember the episode well, and when I saw them on the stall… I couldn’t not buy it… I mean especially with all the Star Trek fandom reignition of late. I really wanted a badge too… but didn’t see any… saw lotsa disney badges though lol. Badges are nice….
And thats really it. For now. Might take some pics of Yuki sometime soon. And for the process of my Gelgoog.
Oh, and almost forgot lol, the ‘Han Style’ thing is a joke from How I met your Mother. Han style, as in solo. LOL!!

The London Expo looks really nice. Looks much nicer than the one I just went to. ^^;;; Nice loot, do you plan to paint that Gelgoog?
Ahhh, Lucy…I want that scroll!!
You didn’t take pictures of the cosplayers?

Wow, those sort of buses you can’t really see around Toronto except further up North. Kind of business-class/first-class airline kind of feel don’t you think?

God damn the expo looked fun! Also looks a hell lot bigger then the ones we have in Sydney.
Also, I demand pictures once you’re finished with that Gelgoog!
And Tribble is fucking sex >=D

Doesn’t look as bad as saturdays crowd. Did it still get the “conveyor belt” system running where to get to specific stall, you had to queue up with others until you passed by the desired stall?
I spent a lot of time at the wii stall, oggling Muramasa: the demon blade. Looks very Odin sphere-y so if they fix the insane difficulty of odin sphere, then it’s definitely a winner!!

Must have been nice. I wish that cons in my country were like that too. Here it consists almost only of anime watching. But I go there to have a chat with some friends. This summer, at one festival, we will even have our own section (room) where we will screen various anime about girls. About girls troubles, problematic relationship, life hardships, and maybe something else too. I hope it will turn out well.
Megami Magazines come with various interesting pictures. There are always at least some gems. And Deluxe Collection is full of them.
