So due to Dagashi Kashi and my utter lack of self control, I have a pile of Japanese snacks and candy sitting to my left on the sofa. I still haven’t finished the Dagashi Kashi set 1 that I got from Jbox, ONLY because, once I finish it, it’s gone, and that’s why I try not to buy fancy snacks and stuff, cos once I eat it, it’s gone 😦 That being said, I have money and very little self control sometimes… Sometimes being the operative word here. And I ordered these boxes from Freedom Japanese Market literally weeks ago. One was shipped on the 2nd of March, and one was shipped the 9th. So it was about 3 weeks for each. I don’t mind waiting. Means I forget things are coming and it’s a nice surprise. BUT when all these things arrive at one at work, I get looks and comments lol. I try to explain they’re preorders, and weren’t all ordered all at once XD Below the cut are many pictures…. many delicious pictures…

The bottom one is the one time sample box I ordered to try the service, usually $27, but I had a 10% coupon so got it for less than $25. The box at the top is the Fukubukuro box, costed $35, twice as big, as promised, impressive difference in size. Arrived a few days apart :3
I paid for both, so this is not an advert or sponsor of them 🙂 But that said, I was very happy with both :3 I’m tempted to try other Japanese snack subscriptions, BUT I feel like I’d be cheating on Freedom Japanese Market…
I’ll go through this box first, since it arrived first. I haven’t eaten everything by any means. I am making the most of this stuff. Plus bringing odd Japanese snacks to work for lunch is quite fun.

Handy list of what’s in the box, so you don’t need to risk too much danger lol. Unlike the Fukubukuro box lololololol (The contents are February’s cos March’s hadn’t shipped by the time I ordered this at the beginning of March :3)
Eaten –
Umaibo, cos duh! The Chicken curry one was especially nice.
Sorbet Pelo – The grape sherbert dib dab thing, was very yummy, love grape flavour stuff, specially grape soda.
Bokun Habanero – Very morish, expected it to be spicier, we had a glass of milk at the ready, but didn’t *really* need it. They had more of an after burn. They looked like skinny Hula Hoops with a kick.
Cider Candy – Nice, simple, not what the English know as ‘Cider’ lol
Pokemon Wafer Chocolate – It wasn’t a flat layer of chocolate, which was interesting 😀 not your standard wafer. And I got a Mew sticker :DDD
Chocolate Banana’s – I do have a liking for banana flavour chocolate, and my collegues at work also liked this one 😀
I have yet to eat the DIY kits and makeable candies mainly because I’m scared of messing up. And the noodles I’ll probably have for lunch at work one day 😀 Or tomorrow…
Now the Fukubukuro box arrived today. To my surprise, wasn’t expecting it till later in the week. So was a nice surprise. As was the size. And it is impressive how this stuff is Tetris’d into the boxes… I have trouble putting it all back that’s for sure…

That’s the total contents, minus a few chocolates I shared with my colleagues, and a chocolate snack thing that reminded me of Umaibo in texture and shape.
It’s hard to think all that fit into this box XD
I tried to organise them by sweet or savoury, but I’m sure I messed up some XD I took guesses going by some packaging lol.

The carbonara dried squid(?) looks slightly worrying. But I imagine it’s somewhat like meat floss lol. And some of the little packages, and ones with mayo on… wth

Got some doubles, which makes me feel better about eating them, in case I really like em and want more XD

I’m looking forward to the milk snack things and the husk thing too. But I will save this box until I finish the first…
And then I still have the Dagashi Kashi set 2!! Which I’ve not touched yet cos I’ve not finished set 1 yet XD

No Melon Ball has made me sad…. but it was sorbet/ice cream… shouldn’t have been on the list in the first place…. XD
I started on the uranai choco fortune choco thing earlier, translated them as I went lol. I got super luck in love 😀 And for my wish :DD Anyways, I’m gonna go into sugar shock at some point I’m sure :3 green tea will help prevent that XD I am sure I’ll have a huge amount of fun eating all this. Slowly…. but surely 🙂 Thank you Freedom Japanese Market!! I look forward to receiving my first subscription box now I’m officially signed up 😀 I wonder if I’ll have finished this lot by the time it comes…

That is a lot of snacks waiting for you to devour. I got mine from Tokyo Treats. I agree with you that if I try other subscriptions, it feels as though I’m cheating on them. =)
