Unboxed No Game No Life region 2 :3 Not as many extra’s, but I’m glad to have it ❤

So this arrived today. I am excite. I did enjoy this series greatly. It’s colour palette, it’s comedy, it’s ecchi-ness and references. It was cute and fun and made me start reading the light novel too 🙂 See below for more photo’s 😀 of the photo cards too! Some have so much boob I couldn’t show my colleagues at work lol.

Moekana 5 a day – U Ka Chi To Tsu

September 21, 2014

u ka chi to tsu

Todays moekana are U, Ka, Chi, To and Tsu.

う ウ U
か カ Ka
ち チ Chi
と ト To
つ ツ Tsu

So this selection… I can think of less words…

Chichi – Father, or slang for breasts? If DBZ is anything to go by XD

Some words I don’t know. This bunch was harder for words I already knew… Need a wider mix 🙂

Kachi かち – Wins
Kau かう – Buy/Purchase
Tochi とち – Horse chestnut
Toukatsu とうかつ – Supervising
Uchi うち – Out

My Moekana 5 a day – Ku Su Se Ki Shi

September 20, 2014

ku su se ki shi

So todays moekana are ku, su, se, ki and shi.

く ク ku
す ス su
せ セ se
き キ ki
し シ shi

Instantly I think ‘shiki’ which is vampire, in that anime series ‘Shiki’, but just means expression, or formula or ceremony?? D: And ‘suki’ which is like, and obviously ‘sushi’. So so far we got…

Shiki しき- Expression, formula or ceremony o_O
Suki すき- Like
Sushi すき- Sushi :3
Kiseki きせき- Miracle! I know this cos of ‘Clamp no Kiseki’ XD

Those are the only words I truly knew before… these are some I didn’t really 🙂

Kushi くし- Skewer, for like, BBQing stuff I think.
Seki せき- Place or seat.
Kishi きし- means Dejavu, which is pretty damn cool.
Kiku きく- Listen (that’s not what Navi says in Zelda all the time is it? Or does it just say ‘Listen’ in every language?)
Kiki きき- Equipment? Device?? I only knew it as a name XD
Shishi しし- is a Chinese guardian lion… and a place name. But it’s a Lion protector in Japanese Buddhism and Shintoism which I think is pretty cool.

I’m gonna leave it there. Cos I’ll be clutching at straws lol. I need to find my Japanese dictionary…

My Moekana Five-a-day – Ta Te Sa Ke E

September 19, 2014
Lookit the cuteness

Lookit the cuteness (click to enlarge)

So I recently, well, not that recently, but in the last 2 months or so, acquired a set of Moekana, and Moekanji, AND the booster pack. Cos my friend didn’t know which one was which… so I got them all… XD And I’ve been trying to memorise the hiragana first. I started out by doing 5 or so a day, and adding more cards as I went along. The ‘kakikukeko’ method is all well and good for speaking, but they’re not always gonna be in order when you’re reading them or writing them. So I mix them up :3

And I will be posting 5 cards a day on my blog and trying to make as many words as I know/vaguely recognise from anime or drama or anything.

Todays are; ta te sa ke e.

た タ ta
て テ te
さ サ sa
け ケ ke
え エ e
I’m not concentrating on the katakana so much at the moment. Cause I wanna get the hiragana first. Then theres the world of pain which is kanji… *shudder*

For this selection I got…..
さけ sake
たえて taete – endured/endure/withstand/enduring/withstood
けさ kesa – this morning
さえて saete – clearheaded
てえ Te – want, wish, wants
さて sate – now, well, okay, so

‘Saete’ is something I’ve heard I think, could have been saiite… or sa iiko….
‘Sake’ is a fairly obvious one. But the others… I’d need to see/hear being used in a sentence to fully get their meaning. Little help? Also please inform me if any of those words are wrong. Google translate isn’t that clever yet..

Meishi

March 11, 2009

A while ago in my Japanese lesson, we had an activity thing where we exchange home-made business cards. I got 4 lol. All from the Japanese students who were helping with Junko-san’s class heheh. I got one from my favourite, Hitomi-chan! She helps with the class every week. She’s so sweet! And her husband works for Sunrise. She saw my blog and was so happy! She watches Clannad After Story too, amongst other stuff. I’d brought my Kagami figma a while before too. Gah, she’s so kawaii!! She’s quiet, reminds me of Nogizaka Haruka in some ways… reserved and polite and super-moe! AND she can draw! So well! Such cuteness….

L!!! Eru-kunn!!! So cute!!

Usagi-chan!!!!

She did the L meishi card just for me! Auuuu she’s so lovely! Some other meishi(business cards) I got!

Some people in the class were from other parts of East Asia. I can't remember exactly where Vicky was from... I know someone was from Seoul.... but that name looks Chinese...doesn't it?

March 5, 2009

Went shopping today, for shampoo, washing up liquid etc etc, boring stuff. And while in the biscuit aisle I spotted something… something I never expected to see… Pocky in a british supermarket…
