Because I have a darling TARDIS model, makes the noise & everything, way better than the money bank version, and I have many figures, toys, plastic things, I thought I’d have a play. In honor of the beginning of season 5 of Doctor Who, with Matt Smith as the new Doctor(THE DOCTOR, thats his name, NOT ‘Dr Who’ really pisses me off when even folks in the media can’t get it right *sigh*…) and Karen Gillan as the new companion AND most importantly to me, Steven Moffat as the new head writer!! :WOOOOP:. Lost one Scot, gained 2 others, not all bad, but I wish the Doc was Scottish lol. One day… And if you don’t know what Doctor Who is, FOR SHAME! And proceed here forthwith.

New Who – 3 hours & counting…
April 3, 2010Who actually buys anime DVD’s?
July 13, 2009I read Neo’s big fansub article in the new issue, 61, and felt compelled to write something, cos I do download fansubs, yes its illegal, but I, unlike alot of people, buy the series when they’re out. And I only watch anime I know I like, I don’t go downloading everything under the sun, that would be a complete waste of time.
In the past year, less actually, I’ve bought more anime than I ever have before. Online, at conventions, in stores. I like to think I do my part for the anime market. And this is mainly thanks to being able to watch and test out anime using fansubs. Anime like Clannad, Ouran High Host Club, Onegai Twins, Kanon, all anime I bought because of the fansubs I watched. Some series I buy just cos I know I’ll like them, To Heart, Midori Days, I hadn’t seen them before, maybe one episode of Midori Days on a anime preview disc from Newtype or something. Other stuff I bought when I saw it cheap, like Bleach, and, god forbid Naruto…(just tried the first part of the first season, didn’t get through the first disc… Bleach was better, have the first season of that. There are also occasions when I rented anime from the library. Did that with Elfin Lied and few others. Tsukihime I got because I had the first volume in a big-multipack of anime and loved it, mostly volume 1’s in the set.
London Expo – Han style!
May 25, 2009Yesterday, I went to the London Expo. Han style. I thought it’d be easier to get around the stalls n stuff. Carrying lotsa bags of loot never helps with that though… Not as bad as last time. Only 3 bags to carry back. Biggest thing was the gunpla box lol. Twice the size if not bigger than the 1/144th scale boxes… Onto some piccies.
My Past Watchlist
July 12, 2008This is simply a list of what full series or OVA fansubs I’ve watched. Plain and simple.
- Sky Girls
- Lovely Complex
- H2O Footprints in the sand
- The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
- Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni & Kai
- Ouran High School Host Club
- Onegai Twins
- Clannad
- Kanon
- Yotsunoha
- Kurenai
- Tokyo Marble Chocolate
I think thats all the full series I’ve managed to watch since last July…. I’ve tried out numerous things like (in no particular order) Lucky Star, Shugo Chara, Myself;Yourself, NHK, Da Capo II, Kanokon, True Tears, Nanatsuiro Drops and a few others beside. I like shojo anime much more than anime full of fanservice. I do like moe though. Moe is all good in my books. I can put up with loli, as long as its not too over the top, same with fanservice. Stuff like Kanokon was just too fanservice heavy for me. I like story, substance. Like Kurenai. That was good. I do like some trash, but only some, in small doses lol.
This season I plan to keep up with Strike Witches(yay its from the people who brought us Sky Girls!!!) and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu(anything bout a girl otaku is fine with me). Last season nothing struck me as fantastic untill someone suggested Kurenai and I took them up on it.
Anyways, that really is all for now. Must sleep….. Ja ne.
