1/144 MS-05L Zaku I Sniper Type

This Zaku is my 4th gunpla kit!! And after looking at guides, and how-to stuff, I went as all out as I could at this time, (since I can’t get ahold of any weathering stuff where I live, have to order online, same for polishing compound, though I’ve been told, something called ‘Brasso’ will do ok on plastic, but I don’t think it’d do the same thing I want that I’ve seen in guides.

Anyways, this is the final product so far, I wanna get some Tamiya weathering stuff to make her look extra funky. Not sure if its a she or he yet… I mean… it does have a skirt lol… but it has a bigass gun to make up for the femininity lol. Its about 13cm tall, I think its a bit shorter than my 1/144 Gelgoog, but just as cool. Still like Gelgoog more. Now I need a Char’s Zaku.. pink ftw!!

Oh, and atm, I’ve got the tubing on the backpack stuck in the holes with whitetack, since it didnt seem to wanna stay put on its own, same for the antenna. Posted these pics on figure.fm too. Spreading the love! lol

My desk is a total mess… currently using my computer on my bed.I used a fine brown pigment artist pen for the panels, grey for a bit on the gun. I decided, after sanding one part and liking the way it looked, to do the rest, every piece thats on show, and a few that arn’t lol. I decided not to sand the gun though. Originally I was gonna sand with like a 400gsm then a higher one and then a higher one, and hopefully get some polishing compound to finish it off, sadly I haven’t found any thats easily accesable, would have to import it. Weathering agents I’d have to order online, but they are available in the UK at least lol. But I prefer it sanded and matt-like. The scratchyness looks cool too, worn, like a Mobile Suit should, not super shiney and super clean lol.I love its little knee stand, kinda similar to the thing actual snipers kneel on when taking a shot right? Tis a big gun lol. I think its just shorter than my Fraulein Yoko’s gun though. Did the back panels even though most of the time they’re covered by the backpack lol.

Bit like a Ghostbuster?

I don’t get why alot of the Zeon Mobile Suits have backpack things. Still need to read up on gundam history… I know I got a link from someone…. on one of my news posts lol.
