Search for Striped Pantsu

September 14, 2008

A tad bored, so decided to do a search for striped pantsu(or shimapan!). I might make it an aim to get as many figures with striped pantsu as possible. I know of two I could get already. I wonder how many more striped pantsu clad figures there are. Lots I hope. lol. Striped = Win.

Kallen was the first striped pantsu figure I came across in my search. I had no idea before now. I mean I liked the look of the figure before, but its just got so tempting to buy her now! And I know where she’s in stock… and quickly available… but I’ve never watched Code Geass. I like to know a bit about the figures I buy, but its not always necessary. Like with Corti-chan, I just saw her, recognised her from DC.com and grabbed as quick as possible!!! (£20 off the website price!!! That must have been from wrong-stickering…) This pic is from Riuva, a site which I find myself on quite a bit in recent weeks. Went there for the Yukari figure too lol. Coincidence?

Seena is another figure I’ve seen before and been sorely tempted to get, and I did know that she had striped pantsu, but I had forgotten before I saw the pictures on Daftlines blog. I still want her…. But something about Kallen is more tempting… the face? Pose? I’m not sure…. And her stripes arn’t even as nice as Seena’s… Seena’s are more like Chie’s. And Chie’s green stripes are awesome.

Stumbled upon this while google-image searching quickly. Komugi pantsu. lol. Stripes are too wide though… Image originated here.

This image also made a reappearence. Those who are frequenters of Dannychoo.com may well recognise this image from his news items. It came from this post. If only a figure with striped pantsu like the girl second from the right has…. that would be awesome. Awesome to the max. I love the little logo on the back.

And lastly, I came across this image from SankakuComplex. In was in the google image search too. I recognised the sankaku-com site, but had never stopped to take a better look around to my memory. So thats what I did lol. Tis pretty cool looking. May investigate more soon. (Thanks to Panther for pointing out the spelling mistake. I knew it looked wrong!!)

Thats the end of the striped pantsu search for today. Me tired. And me have ep 22 of Denno Coil to watch before bed. And if your wondering, my gaming as come to a temporary holt… which sucks…because all my friends will be WAY ahead of my when I go back on Asda… :sob: I’m too lazy to even play games… how lame is that??!!

Spore – First Look.

September 9, 2008

Tonight I finally got to try Spore. Tis good fun so far. But I’ll admit… I think I’m having trouble allying some of the harder nests. I think I have to change my creature to something I dont really want… or at least the muzzle needs changing… needs to be better at singing… These are my beasties so far.

Unfortunately this is yet ANOTHER distraction from things I should be doing….. University preparation, catching up on anime(Haruka’s Secret ep 9!! I got Bleach Series 1 Part 2 yesterday too. AND Haruhi LE vol 4 came today too!! :woot:), and my other games… like Asda Story. Which I need to get on tomorrow… (Only been back at home for 6 hours, enough time to play Spore, watch some Bleach, download bloody Vista updates and more!! But not enough to play Asda and watch Haruhi too. lol)

Asda Story – Basics Part Two

September 6, 2008

Sorry for the gap in between, I’ve been playing the game WAY too much… Have leveled to 19 though!! I was quite chuffed with the time I did it in. I’ve changed outfits quite a bit in those levels gone by.

To continue with the basics, I’ll get on with character creation.

Not in widescreen, cos it didnt wanna let me take a widescreen screen shot of the title for some reason...

I love the box… its so cute….

I could take a widescreen pic of this screen though... weird..

This is where you first create your character if you have only just started. That blue person standing next to me is where my soulmate will someday stand….

Very simple system to creat characters.

Very simple system to creat characters.

Those arn’t the only choices of outfit to pick from either. You get way more choice than Guild Wars thats for sure. And I believe the outfit decides your beginning weapon, other than the pink rubber glove…. I got a bow, because I went for a ranger-esque outfit, but I liked it best…. so sue me… There are only 3 colours of hair available, brown, blonde/yellow and white. I went for blonde naturally. No other colour for me.

Thats what I’m wearing now, only its a better class of armor. More defence points, more slots for sowel etc.(Will explain sowel later.)

Some very cute outfits… so tempting to go for a outfit like this… but the darker colours, brown etc, always feel right for some reason…

Outfits like this, also tempting… but a tad gaudy. There are plenty of eyes to pick from aswell, didnt count how many…. And the same goes for hair styles. There were a nice amount to pick from. You can, later on, user Campus Cash(which you have to buy, $10 per 1000cc) to buy new hairstyles, which I’m tempted to do, because hairstyles only cost 90cc-150cc, not very much at all. Should restrain oneself though…

The boys get some very Kingdom Hearts-esque outfits to choose from. Mostly very cute. And I don’t know if I’m right in think that the boys get more hairstyles to pick from… but it felt that way when skipping through the choices.

You even get some Sora-esque hair to choose from too lol.

Would any of you guys pick this…rather… kitschy outfit to start out with? I do love character designs with oversized shoes. I don’t know why but I loves it.

The shopping window, me trying out a funky blue outfit I will never get to wear… wrong class…:sob: You barely need to buy anything from there, it’s horrifically overpriced aswell. You pick up enough items to make do with, and if you make friends with the right people, when they find items that fit you, and not them, they’ll give them to you. I’ve taken to just shouting out and asking if anyone wants an item I pick up, like mage or archer items I can’t use. Sometimes I do just sell them, specially if they’re rare items, I put them in the market and try my luck. No luck so far.

Me with a big two-handed sword I picked up on my travels. Tried it out in battle, wasn’t nearly fast enough… one-handed swords hit so much quicker. Might not do as much damage, but you’ve got a shield aswel, more defence. I like being safe lol.

That’ll be it for now. More on clans and dugeons next time! I’m going back to level! Hopefully to 20 today if I can muster it!!

Asda Story – Basics Part One

September 3, 2008

This isn’t really going to be a guide of sorts, more like a review and explanation. I feel compelled to do so… not sure why… maybe it’s because I have a blog now… and I have somewhere to report. And I’d like to play with you guys. It’s muco fun. Much like other MMORPG’s I’ve played. But this is my latest chosen one lol.

The Skills bar and menu of sorts.

The Skills bar and menu of sorts.

Not only is the menu fairly self explanitory, a little robot mascot-thing will pop up from time to time to tell you when someone is looking for you.(In relation to a quest.)

The quest window.

The quest window.

The quest window is very Guildwars-esque. Which I’m cool with. If it was too different and weird I might be put off. The familiar is much nicer. In earlier quests it gives you coordinates to where you need to go, which is great for beginners, was great for me. But you get to a certain point after level 10 where you just have to find your way on your own. It gives you the place name, so it’s fairly easy to find where you need to be. Coordinates were nicer though… :sulk:

This be the chat window.

This be the chat window.

The chat window is always useful in the game. But right now it’s been invaded by spammers advertising dodgy websites selling cheap Campus Cash, which I would NOT advise visiting. It’s obviosuly a scam. Avoid these kind of sites at all costs. Hopefully they’ll sort out the spamming soon, its not constant anyways, they’re usually set up in town, and if your far enough away you won’t hear it.

A mini map that will be on screen unless you X it off. I wouldn't though...

A mini map that will be on screen unless you X it off. I wouldn't.

You can also expand the map, so you can see the place you need to be. The coordinates feature is most useful. I can’t remember if Guildwars had coordinates or not, not to worry anyways. You can plot where you want to go on the expanded map too, saves endless clicking in front of you to move lol. I don’t think you can move with your keyboard… which is a shame, but it might just be I haven’t found out how yet. I didnt know how to add friends unless last night… and I’m level 13… twas most pathetic of me….

Of course your health bar is one of the most important features of any game.

Of course your health bar is one of the most important features of any game.

This bar/window features your hp, mp, level, profession(I’m a warrior/fighter, hence the armour.)and weight. Weight is important in this game, because if you way over 70%, you won’t regain health. And it’s very important that you do…. trust me…. There are two warehouses in Alpen town, so plenty of storage room.

Will report back more later. It’s had an update and maintanance while I was offline, which is nice.

Asda Story – Another Free MMORPG

September 2, 2008
I know there are quite a few free MMORPG’s floating round now. I’m usually detered from downloading and playing them by the huge filesize, 900mb-1gb’s etc. When I find some that are 600mb or less I’ll usually give them a go. I was however so enthralled by the idea of Mabinogi that I downloaded the 900&something-mb file only to find out that it was only playable in North America!!! Oh how I cursed….. I thought Asda Story might be the same, so I didnt get my hopes up. But I was lucky. And I now get to play this uber-cute MMORPG! With another clever idea to draw in the girl players, a soulmate system, where pairing up increases your power. I have yet to find mine…. but its early days. I’m only level 13 after all
Me at an earlier level.

Me at an earlier level.

The graphics are pretty good for a 600mb file. And the customisable aspect is always a plus. And, like with alot of these MMORPG’s, there are insentives to pay actual money, Campus Cash will buy you new hair, funky nimbus-clouds to ride on,(Just like Goku!! lol) and other stuff. Now I have a paypal account I am sorely tempted to get some Campus Cash… but I’ll hold back… I’ll restrain myself… There is a fairly wide selection of outfits to choose from when first creating your character, which is nice. But what they don’t tell you is, the outfit you choose influences what basic-weapon you get, I am always warriors, or magical warriors, and when I found a bow and arrows in my inventory I was disapointed… I had to wait till level 5 to get my sword…. I went for the one handed sword and shield, but if your a warrior you can pick between one handed sword, two handed sword and a spear. I like being able to do close combat but not get killed easy, so the one handed sword with a shield, which the site said had the strongest defence, seemed like the best option to me.

The guy running on camera is wielding a two handed sword.

The gameplay feels alot like Guildwars, in that you use the numbers on the keyboard to attack mostly. Like Guildwars, you set the skills you want to the slots available. I’m still fairly new, only been playing for 2 days(ish) so I’ve not mastered everything yet. But I’m doing pretty well. Got a soul mate on the first day, but I haven’t seen him since, he hasn’t been online the same time as me at least. There is a guy I’ve got my eye on, I think we’d be great together, Warriors and Mages go best together, the perfect combo of braun and magic I feel.

This is the guy I'm gonna try and hook, sitting next to me.

This is the guy, sitting next to me.

I really likethe angle of that screenshot. It’s nice. And theres no one else in the background. Thats another thing that I like about Asda Story, its not unbearably busy yet. It’s still pretty quiet on the 8 servers. (I always use Channel 8, in case anyone who reads this joins and wants to hang out!)

I’ll report back tomorrow, more about character creation, weapons, the gaming system itself. So far its really enjoyable though. I’m really happy with it.
